Pep Guardiola has poured cold water on claims that Manchester City will ease to another Premier League title with Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne back.

After respective injuries, the pair are now once again starting for the Citizens, where they starred in the 2-0 win against Everton on Saturday.

Haaland helped himself to a double, with De Bruyne supplying the pass for the Norwegian striker's second - the Belgian's fourth assist in as many games since recovering from his hamstring knock.

In fact, the former Chelsea midfielder has laid on 12 assists for Haaland in all competitions since the start of last season - the most for any top-flight player for a specific teammate.

Their instinctive relationship has led to fans and pundits to back City to win a historic fourth Premier League title.

But Guardiola has dismissed the theory when speaking to talkSPORT's Sam Matterface, who asked him how scary it is for City's rivals that the pair are back firing together.

To which he said: "I don't care. I don't care about how scary it is for them.

"Because I know some of my colleagues are not scared at all."

The ex-Barcelona manager continued: "OK we are stronger with them, but as I said before, we can play good.

"But these types of players help you to win games.

"The first goal is not easy at all, right foot, first contact, and that's why Erling is - in the box - he's the best.

Haaland hadn't scored since November prior to the clash against Everton, with the 23-year-old admitted his relief to get back in the goals.

He told BBC Match of the Day: "Yeah it’s [a] good feeling and even better to win.

"We always work hard as a team, so a fantastic performance. It was a difficult game and good win.

"A lot of games, people will try and destroy our game but we are a good team so it's difficult to destroy our game.

"A good win. We’ve been on good run, I think that’s 10 in row in all competitions. We're doing quite well. It is a good thing."
