A big name in French football made very strong comments about his coach.

Water has flowed under the bridges, but the scar is not completely closed. Considered one of the greatest talents of his generation, Samir Nasri has had a chaotic history with the France team. At odds with Didier Deschamps following his non-selection for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil ten years ago, the former Olympique de Marseille playmaker also had tense relations with Raymond Domenech.

Samir Nasri returned to an anecdote in an interview given to Hervé Mathoux and broadcast on Canal +, a channel for which he now serves as a consultant.

“He lies like he breathes”

The facts date back to the spring of 2008. Samir Nasri was then one of the players in the running to be selected for the Euro list. But Domenech, who had established an expanded list, had to exclude several players from the preparation camp. The cruel method was well known: the failed footballers were informed at the last moment by a member of the staff who came to knock on their room door. However, Nasri was criticized for making this joke in bad taste to some of his teammates. A version that the main party categorically denies.

” I have never done it. It's wrong ! He (Domenech) lies as he breathes, thundered the Canal + consultant. Plus, I can even add that it was in 2008. I was coming off a season where I had meningitis. So I didn't perform well throughout the season. I was unsure if I was one of the seven leaving, so I was in my room. Someone came and knocked in my room to make me believe that someone was coming. But I'm angry with him for spreading these rumors. I do not know why. Ah maybe because I trashed him years ago when I was doing interviews… I do not like him ! »concluded Samir Nasri “ resentful“, who will not go on vacation with Domenech…
