It’s no longer a secret, French rapper Booba does not have Kylian Mbappé in his heart. The 48-year-old artist has not hesitated to tackle the new Real Madrid striker in his songs for a while.
During the podcast CKOthe GOAT of French rap for some has finally revealed the reasons for his bitterness towards the 2018 world champion and former Paris Saint-Germain player. For him, the Madrid number 9 does not sufficiently represent his African roots.
“ I thought it was going to be a muse of the suburbs, guys like us. That’s why I simply don’t like him. I thought he was going to represent his African roots: I had too many expectations. He didn’t even go to Algeria. Cameroon? How old was he there? He went there being rich and with cameras around him. This is unacceptable. He didn’t even tweet when Algeria won the CAN. It doesn’t represent at all. He’s uninteresting. I don’t like his personality,” he blurted. The message is clear.
Mbappé finds color
Despite criticism from Booba, Kylian Mbappé seems to be regaining color in recent matches. This Sunday afternoon, the French striker was one of the architects of Real Madrid’s victory at the Bernabeu against Sevilla FC.
The former Parisian opened the scoring in this game and also delivered a mischievous assist for Brahim Diaz after returning from the locker room (4-2 victory for the Madrilenians). The 26-year-old now takes his tally to 10 league goals.
