The Ondo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Agboola Ajayi, has said he has a clear vision of how to make the state work.
Agboola Ajayi said the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa has failed the people of Ondo State.
The PDP candidate stated this at a media parley on Friday in Lagos. He added that the November 16 governorship election is an opportunity for the people of the state to save themselves and the future of their children.
He accused Governor Ayedatiwa of failing to keep his promise to the people of the state.
“The primary objective of governance is the safety and welfare of the people.
“Any political party that deviates from this avowed principle of governance will definitely get it wrong and become a liability to the people. I have a clear vision of how to make it work,” Ajayi said.
The former deputy governor of Ondo State further stated that late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu left many problems behind, and that those problems had worsened under Ayedatiwa, the former late governor’s Deputy, who took over after his demise.
“The November 16 governorship election in the state therefore calls for serious consideration as this will determine, shape or mar the fortune of the State in the next four years,” Ajayi added.
Ajayi maintained that the September 21 Edo governorship election result was a failure and against the people of Edo’s choice.
The PDP governorship candidate said those who are constitutionally empowered to protect Nigerians and ensure that the right things are done during the election at every given time must not disappoint voters.
