A budding singer, Aigbe Ikponmwosa, aka Blaqice, has said that he hopes to have a legacy in afrotrap.
He told Sunday Scoop, “I believe the fusion of afropop and afrotrap will shake up the industry. But, it’s more than just the music for me; it’s about leaving a legacy.”
The emerging artiste who has captivated fans with his melodious vocals noted that his mission is to elevate the music scene by discovering and nurturing the next generation of stars, adding that Olamide has influenced his works.
“I am deeply influenced by Olamide’s legendary work ethic and humility. I’m here to push boundaries, showcase my sound and help others rise,” he stated.
Blaqice dropped his debut single in 2023 alongside an EP. Inspired by his desire to explore, he is set to release a new single titled, Sober Forever, which fuses afrobeats and highlife music. According to him, passion, innovative approach and commitment to uplifting others have set him apart and kept him going.
