The 6ft 7in forward played for a number of the Premier League's top teams, while he retired with a mighty-impressive record of 22 goals in 42 games for the Three Lions.

Initially graduating to senior football through Tottenham’s academy, the Macclesfield-born star is perhaps best known for his stint at Anfield where he won the FA Cup and reached the Champions League final.

Later moving back to Portsmouth before starring for Spurs, Crouch then staged a late career blossom when he made his most appearances for Stoke City.

That saw the now 42-year-old take the record for most headed Premier League goals with 51, and later retire as an icon after a brief stint with Burnley.

He is one of just 34 players in history to bag 100 Premier League goals or more.

Few could argue with Crouch’s extensive goalscoring record at every club he played for, but there’s one more he felt he missed out on.

“I would have loved to have played abroad,” he revealed to White and Jordan.

“I grew up watching Italian football and I was a Sampdoria fan because of [Gianluca] Vialli and I would have loved to have gone to Italy and played.

So I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
