The Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has denied recent allegations made by Ntim Fordjour, declaring that he would resign from his position if Fordjour could provide any evidence of a cocaine haul.
This comes after an air ambulance and a private jet allegedly remained in the country for several days before their departure, raising concerns over their purpose and cargo.
Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee, John Ntim Fordjour, called on authorities to reveal the contents of these aircraft, expressing suspicion that they may have been used for drug trafficking or money laundering.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr Ofosu challenged Rev Fordjour, stating, “If Ntim Fordjour is able to show you any evidence of a cocaine haul, I will resign from government that very day.”
He emphasised that Fordjour had no legitimate proof to back up his claims
“I’m telling you that he has nothing to show; he is lying, and that is why he cannot tell you anything,” he said
The Minister further remarked that the allegations were so far-fetched that even his “ten-year-old daughter wouldn’t believe these lies peddled by Ntim Fordjour.
"Even my ten-year-old daughter wouldn’t believe these lies peddled by Ntim Fordjour," he stated.
He reaffirmed his confidence that the truth would ultimately prevail, urging that such baseless claims should not be allowed to dominate public discourse.
