The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Edo State governorship election slated for September 21, Monday Okpebholo on Friday, assured the people of Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the revival of the Ojirami Dam that will provide water for the people.
Okpebholo also assured the people of Akoko-Edo that the road between Ososo and Okpella would be given immediate attention within 100 days of his administration.
Okpebholo gave the assurance while speaking at the ward-to-ward governorship campaign in Igarra, the headquarters of the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state.
The governorship candidate told the people that his five-point agenda would be followed to the letter.
He added, “To provide water for Akoko-Edo, the revival of Ojirami Dam will be a priority and assure you that my five points agenda will be followed to the letter
“The five points agenda is road construction, provision of adequate health service, adequate security, education, and agriculture,” he stated.
The candidate assured the people of the Akoko Edo community that he would also employ teachers to teach and make sure 24-hour light is available in the area.
Okpebholo pledged to ensure the safety of farmers by providing enough security to protect them.
The Minister for Niger Delta Development Commission, Abubakar Momoh, said the reconstruction of Igarra/Auchi/Atte roads was already in the NDDC budget for this year. He urged the people to come out on election day to vote for the APC.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of the state, called on the people of Akoko-Edo to vote for APC on September 21. He said he brought Okpebholo to them so that they could hear from him what he intended to do for the people, noting that the APC candidate had what it takes to provide the dividends of democracy.
“Some people will come to you to give you money to vote for them, collect the money, and vote for Okpebholo of the APC. It is your money which they were supposed to have used to work for you,” he stated
