Young Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has made a bold prediction ahead of the Blaugrana’s away match against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.
The 16-year-old, speaking in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, has predicted a 1-0 win for his side, with the scorer being himself.
In a composed manner, Yamal discussed the upcoming match between Barcelona and PSG, sharing his dream of reaching the final at Wembley. “It’s my first quarterfinal tie and it’s a dream to be able to play in them,” he said.
How will Barcelona play against PSG?
Barcelona will have to put on a great show to beat PSG and shedding light on the same, the youngster said that the team must continue playing with the momentum they have at the moment.
“Play the way we play, our game and dominate them,” he said.

If one team fails, the other will take advantage of it and in the Champions League, above all, you have to play with great intensity.”
Furthermore, he went on to say that all the teams in the quarter-final round have the chance of winning the competition.
“All teams now have the same possibilities. You have to beat PSG and then in a semi-final, anything can happen,” he said.
Barcelona have the liberty to enjoy more days for the contest as compared to PSG. Speaking about the gap, he added, “We are all focused on thinking about Wednesday’s game, which is going to be one of the most important of the season.”
The Mbappe threat
Kylian Mbappe is certain to pose a big threat to Barcelona’s defence and while sharing his thoughts on the Frenchman, Yamal said that he always try to take care of his defensive duties.
“Not only with Mbappe. I always try with the winger that is on my wing. It already happened with Kvaratskhelia.”
The youngster also said, “He is a player who will do something different for me in anything I focus on. That’s why I think I have to help the side and that’s it.”
Lastly, when asked about predicting the score, he said, “0-1”, adding that he would be the scorer of the match.
