Nigerian singer, Kunle Ogunrombi better known as K-Peace, has made shocking allegations against the organisers of the Nigerian Idol.
K-Peace, in a recent interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, disclosed that the organizers of the show deceived him after presenting him with a cheque of N7.5 million and a car gift but failed to “immediately” fulfill their promises.
The singer, who expressed his disappointment and frustration noted that the organisers’ actions were “deceptive”leaving him to struggle to survive.
He said, “I came out Nigerian Idol platform with zero naira in my account.
“…We would go for interviews with empty belle as a Nigerian Idol winner. We would walk through Lagos without food.
“It was announced that I won N7.5million. I asked when they were going to give me the money and the car. They were pushing it forward that the car was being branded.
“What you announced on national television is that I won N7.5 million with a car. And I am supposed to have a two-week trip to Dubai.
“I was going through hell. Plenty talks dey.”
The singer however did not reveal if he was eventually paid the winner’s prize.
