Nollywood actress cum movie producer, Toyin Abraham, has taken to social media to cry out over the incessant cyberbullying following support for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general elections.

TheNewsGuru.com recalls that Toyin had visited Tinubu after the then former Lagos governor emerged president, and shared photos from her meeting and the president plans to tackle the nation’s pressing issues.

Toyin has since been bullied and troll on social media for her choice of candidate in the 2023 general elections.

In new development, netizans grapple with the ongoing strike and its effects, took to the X platform to call out the actress, indulging her to divulge the ideas Tinubu supposedly shared with her.

Responding, Toyin stated that she was promised good governance and happiness for Nigerians during her last meeting with the president. However, people should stop bullying her online because Tinubu’s plans did not work as promised.

She wrote, “You asked me in a polite way so I will definitely answer you. Of course, I was told and promised good governance and happiness for everyone and I wish, I believe. If things didn’t go well why do I have to be the one to suffer for it because I remember I voted for Jonathan and I was bullied but I didn’t put blame on anyone after everyone choose Buhari. So why would they be curse and trolling me every time. “

When asked if she believed President Tinubu failed in governance, Toyin said, “I have faced my life and career cos I am not a politician and I’m not in government. I have learnt my lesson never to be open with my choice again.”

Unimpressed with the actress’ response, angry trolls insulted her children, husband and family members.

In reaction, the actress lashed out at trolls who resorted to cursing her, further highlighting the heated debates surrounding her political allegiance.

She said, “So people are angry that means you have to curse my child, my husband and family members, for what? i have been asked to keep quiet, but i will not keep quiet anymore. You guys will think it is a joke, i will not take sorry. My husband doesnt not look for trouble, you bullied him. You all had to take it to my family. It is enough, i will not take it anymore.”
