ICSAN to host summit on business innovation

The Lagos State Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria has announced its 2024 annual summit, which will focus on business innovation.

The event was themed ‘Governance and Business Innovation in Contemporary Times’ and is scheduled for October 31 in Lagos, the institute said in a release on Tuesday.

It disclosed that the summit, which would be chaired by the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Exima Realty Co. Ltd, Hakeem Ogunniran, would explore the role of governance in fostering innovation.

Ogunniran stated, “Strong governance frameworks are crucial in creating an environment that encourages creativity, transparency, and sustainability while managing risks.”

According to the institute, the Chief Executive Officer of Zest Payment Limited, Stanley Jacobs, will deliver the keynote address, providing insights into how governance can drive innovation in Nigeria’s fintech and business sectors.

Jacobs highlighted the importance of integrating governance with emerging technologies, stating, “Innovation thrives where governance supports agility and scalable solutions, particularly in industries like fintech.”

It noted that it was dedicated to fostering excellence in corporate governance, providing a platform for professionals to engage in discussions that shape the future of governance and innovation.
