IMG Credit: WWEIt could be a bit. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling but they all have one underlying result: they all require wrestlers to heal up in some way. Some injuries can be a lot worse than others, with surgery often being a last resort. That was the case recently with a prominent WWE Superstar and now we know a bit more about what happened and what is coming next.

Last month, WWE’s Asuka revealed that she was undergoing surgery for a previously announced knee injury. Asuka has since uploaded a video to YouTube, revealing that her surgery took about ninety minutes and was called a success. She was released from the hospital the following day but was unable to walk on her own power. Asuka also said that she will be going to a rehabilitation center to start her healing process. There is no word on when she will be returning to the ring.

Opinion: That’s bad to hear but at least Asuka is on the way to getting back in the ring. If her knee is bad enough that she needs surgery, things are already rather serious and now we need to wait and see just how long she is going to be out of action. Asuka is one of the better stars around WWE but now we are going to be waiting a long time before she can return to the ring.
