His coach at Athletic Bilbao, Ernesto Valverde, revealed at a press conference that his striker would be absent for the last match of the season today. The Ghanaian underwent surgery on Tuesday to remove this shard of glass.

“ During his vacation two years ago, he stepped on glass and had a deep injury to his foot,” Valverde explained. “For several months, he had been saying that he was feeling pain in the scar.
