The flagship show of La Chaîne L’Équipe was very lively this week.
After
the highly anticipated return of Olivier Ménard to present L’Équipe du Soirthe flagship program of La Chaîne L’Equipe continues to be a hit with audiences during this Euro 2024. On Wednesday, however, it was Giovanni Castaldi who took his place to replace the show’s iconic host. And he had some work to do to get things back on track.
A big moment of tension occurred when Bertrand Latour, correspondent for La Chaîne L’Équipe to cover the adventures of the French team in Germany, was questioned to bounce back on a theme which concerned coach Didier Deschamps.
Rouyer offended by Latour: “A minimum of respect! »
While Olivier Rouyer had rushed to the technician’s aid, Bertrand Latour responded by allowing himself to make a little joke which was very badly received by the former French international. The young reporter said: “I don’t agree with Olivier Rouyer, who did well to have a career in cafeterias in Nancy and before as a football player because I don’t find him very good as a lawyer for Didier Deschamps. »
Olivier Rouyer’s response came after what Giovanni Castaldi called ” bad joke“.
“If you want, I can leave, if you say stupid things like that… It’s unbearable. It’s the kind of thing I don’t like too much, his very inappropriate humor. A minimum of respect! Don’t mess around. Otherwise I’ll leave the set.” Surprised, Latour made his mea culpa while saying that a program was 100% produced
“in the first degree” would lose its relevance. Atmosphere…
