A recent report from Diario SPORT has issued a crucial fitness update on Pedri, who is looking to return to the pitch after suffering a fresh injury setback earlier in the year.
Alongside Frenkie de Jong and Gavi, Pedri is one of three top Barcelona players currently sidelined with injuries.
But there is much optimism inside the Barcelona camp over his return in the coming weeks.
Pedri certain to return vs Real Madrid
As per the fitness update, Pedri is more than likely to return to action for the April 21 Clasico against Real Madrid.
That is provided there are no fresh setbacks for the Spanish international, who has endured a tough time with injuries over the last few years.
The report does note that Pedri is mentally doing quite well and has recovered much faster than the board had imagined.

Will Pedri play against PSG?
Before Barcelona take on Real Madrid on April 21, they are slated to face Paris Saint-Germain on April 10, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League.
As per the report, Pedri has not been entirely ruled out for the PSG contest, meaning there is a possibility he may feature in the first leg.
However, given the way the youngster has struggled with injuries in recent years, Barcelona might not want to take too many risks.
The Catalans, therefore, will largely be preparing this game without keeping Pedri in mind. The team could, however, expect de Jong to return to the fray, in what could serve as a major boost for coach Xavi Hernandez.
