Jenna Bush Hager had an extra “pep in her step” Monday morning after returning from a girls trip to Florida.
The “Today with Hoda & Jenna” co-host, 42, jetted to Palm Beach with her pal, Savannah Guthrie, 52, and two of their daughters for the weekend.
The broadcast journalists were joined by 10-year-old Mila, whom Jenna shares with her husband Henry Hager, and Guthrie’s 9-year-old mini-me Vale, whom she shares with her husband Michael Feldman.
“We used to live next door to each other. We don’t anymore and we don’t see each other,” Jenna told her “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb.
“What you realize about friends that you don’t get a chance to see [that often] is you’ve really gotta make an effort,” the former first daughter added.

“Mila and Vale went surfing,” the proud mom said, as footage of Mila standing up on a surf board flashed on screen.
“She’s good right. I couldn’t have done that at age 10 … it was fun we had a good time.”

It comes one day after Jenna posted a series of Instagram photos, including a happy snap of the four ladies posing beside the Colony Hotel Palm Beach.
“The weekend looks better through rose colored glasses,” she captioned the social media upload.

“We had said no. And we had said no. And we had said no,” Jenna said on the broadcast.

Jenna noted that it included “why she was responsible enough now, and what chores she would do, and how she wanted to learn how to save and how she wants to buy presents for her siblings at Christmas on her own.”
“And at the end, Henry, who’s a pretty conservative spender, said, ‘Okay, Mila. You’ve earned it.'”
