Maduka Okoye was in goal for Udinese who conceded a stoppage time goal to lose 2-1 at home to Inter Milan in the Serie A on Monday night.

Inter had to come from behind to secure the win as they continue their push to land the league title.

Lazar Samardzic had given Udinese the lead before second half goals from Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Frattesi secured the three points.

According to OptaPaolo, Çalhanoğlu’s goal means Inter became the first team in Serie A history to score in each of the first 31 matches played in a single season.

Inter, on 82 points, are runaway leaders while Udinese are in 15th place on 28 points, just two points from the relegation zone.

Udinese opened the scoring on 40 minutes as Samardzic’s shot was immediately deflected, but a confusing stop from Denzel Dumfries allowed the ball to sail past Yann Sommer into the back of the net.

Only minutes into the second half Inter thought they’d equaliser through a Carlos Augusto header following a free kick, but play was stopped after the flag is raised.

Following a lengthy VAR check, the goal was chalked off for an apparent flick from the offside Lautaro.

It didn’t take long for Inter to finally equalise which came in the 53rd minute after Okoye got an interception incredibly wrong, fouling Marcus Thuram to gift Inter a penalty.

Calhanoglu stepped up and made no mistake, tying it up for Inter 1-1.

In the 94th minute, the Nerazzurri’s got the winner after a great low shot from Lautaro was finger tipped onto the post by Okoye and bounced out.

The ball was then met by a sprinting Frattesi, who smashed it home to make it 2-1 for the league leaders.
