EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is continuing to have its cake and eat it too, sometimes.
The streamer has renewed Is It Cake?, its baking show based on the viral meme, for a third season.
The Mikey Day-hosted series is returning for Season 3 on March 29. Last year, the second season, titled Is It Cake Too? premiered on June 30. Season one launched in March 2022.
The show will return with bigger cakes, higher stakes, and wilder bakes. A new batch of bakers will push the boundaries of culinary craftsmanship, creating hyper-realistic cakes to trick and deceive their way to the ultimate cash prize. Once again, you’ll find yourself asking the question – is it real? Or… Is It Cake?
The eight-part series is produced by Alfred Street Industries, the production company launched in 2019 by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz. The company is also behind Hulu’s Best In Dough and the most recent seasons of Project Runway.
Cutforth, Lipsitz, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe and Andrew Wallace exec produce.
