While the festivities are set to begin, reports are surfacing with regards to unease in the Sinha family. While Shatrughan Sinha revealed he wasn’t aware of the impending wedding until the news was broken by the media, new reports suggest that the actress has been trying to get her family’s approval to marry Zaheer for years now. Sonakshi Sinha has been trying to convince her family for 2-3 years?

A Redditor took to the platform’s BollyBlindsNGossip thread a while ago and posted some eyebrows-raising gossip about the actress and her family. As per the post, the actress’ had attempted to convince her family of her and Zaheer Iqbal’s relationship for years before deciding to get married. The spilt tea read, “Got to know from an insider that Sonakshi was trying to convince her family for approval since 2-3 years but they are not happy about her relationship. Zaheer’s family is totally loving and accepting of Sonakshi.”

The post further read, “Inter religion is another thing but they are more concerned that her boyfriend is a flop hero and although he comes from jeweller background but financially nowhere near Shatrughan Sinha’s status.” The Redditor added, “So after waiting since long she gave up and was just waiting for the Elections to be over as it would have caused a stir for Shatrughan Sinha’s campaigning and now getting married. Although she has invited her family also so let’s see whether they join or not.”

The post concluded, “No matter who you are Indian Parents will continue to dominate your life decisions. Feeling so sad for her.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer – who have been dating for 7 years, will register their marriage on June 23. This will be followed by a celebratory party at the South Mumbai eatery, Bastian. The festivities will reportedly start at 8 pm. As per reports, actors Aayush Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Varun Sharma, the cast of Heeramandi and many more stars will be part of the celebration.
