Peddapalli: IT Minister D Sridhar Babu Shares Government Initiatives for Farmers and Citizens

IT Minister D Sridhar Babu announced that the government has launched a detailed household survey aimed at improving the development and welfare of the people.

On Thursday, the Minister took part in a Bhumi Pooja ceremony for the construction of the Manthani Branch of the Karimnagar District Co-operative Central Bank. The new branch will be built in Satyasai Nagar, Manthani town, at a cost of Rs 75 lakh. During the event, Sridhar Babu emphasized the importance of completing the building quickly so it can be made available to the public. He also highlighted that the government has deposited more than Rs 18,000 crores by waiving loans of up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers.

The Minister also shared that the government has kept its promise by announcing a bonus of Rs 500 for the fine variety of paddy during the current Kharif marketing season. He assured that strict measures are in place to prevent any cuts to the farmers’ payments at the mills, a problem that occurred in the past.

Furthermore, Sridhar Babu mentioned that the government is purchasing quality grain from farmers by offering the full support price. He added that steps have been taken to ensure that farmers are paid within 48 hours of selling their produce. The Minister reiterated the importance of accurate data for future planning and said a comprehensive house-to-house family survey will be carried out. The houses that are not accounted for during the survey will be identified, and appropriate steps will be taken to understand the reasons and address any issues.

Several key officials attended the event, including KDCC Bank Chairman Konduri Ravinder Rao, Chief Executive Officer Satyanarayana Rao, Vice President Ramesh, Manthani Branch Manager Udaya Sri, senior Congress leader G Krishna Murthy, and other concerned officials.
