IMG Credit: WWENope. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as they identify the top stars in a promotion. Seeing a wrestler winning a championship can be a huge moment for their careers and it makes things all the more interesting. This is especially true for a new championship, though in this case, that is not going to be taking place despite previous rumors.

One of the matches announced for next month’s Monday Night Raw premiere on Netflix is Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat. Earlier this month, reports said that WWE was considering introducing a new special title for the winner of the match to signify the official Tribal Chief. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “that’s not happening” and no title will be introduced.

Opinion: This is the right move for the match, as there is no real need to have a title brought in. The two of them already have the Ula Fala to fight over so there is no reason to bring in a traditional belt. Thankfully WWE seemed to get the idea right here and there is no need to make this more complicated than it needs to be. Reigns vs. Sikoa should be big enough on its own as they have already made the stakes work this well.
