There are all kinds of matches that can be added to the show and as usual, AEW tends to start at the top of the card. They covered that this week by figuring out who would challenge for the World Title. It just did not exactly turn out as planned.

This week’s AEW Dynamite opened with a #1 contenders match between Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland. The match wound up going to a time limit draw, meaning there was no winner. Following the match, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the two would both challenge Samoa Joe for the title at Revolution in a triple threat match. Revolution is set for March 3.
