The former glory of German football, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, was very lucid about the situation at Bayern Munich.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes that the German championship title is now out of reach for Bayern Munich. Indeed, ten days before the end of the Bundesliga season, Bayer Leverkusen is 10 points ahead of the Bavarian club, ranked second.

In an interview given to Gazetta dello Sport, the former Rotten striker and double Ballon d’Or winner (1980 and 1981) affirms that the main objective of the reigning German champion will now be the Champions League.

Rummenigge does not make a film

“We have to go to the next round of the Champions League, it’s important,” declared the former chairman of the board of directors of Bayern.

For Rummenigge, there is no longer any doubt about the identity of the future national champion: “Now it is certain that Bayer Leverkusen will win the Bundesliga,” he added.
