ITV Studios has added another French scripted label to its ranks.

L/Intruse will sit within Tetra Media Studio, the French production subsidiary of UK network ITV’s production and sales arm.

Leading the unit is Léa Gabrié, a Tetra Media Fiction producer who produced a series that shares the name of her new venture. L’Intruse is a new psychological thriller miniseries for France 2 that launches on March 5.

L/Intruse will sit within a group at Tetra also comprising Tetra Media Fiction, Beaubourg Audiovisuel, GoodCop, Macondo, Colette Productions, Gramma Prod and Tangaro Productions.

“Launching this label today is a fairly natural outcome,” said Gabrié. My past experiences, far from being contradictory, feed my perspective and my ambition is to develop projects that are popular but that speak to the heart.”

Thierry Lachkar, President of Tetra Media Studio, added: “The creation of the L/Intruse label is part of our philosophy: That of supporting our talents. This label marks an important step for Léa Gabrié. We have great confidence in Léa and her ability to bring together authors and directors around unique and committed projects.”

Gabrié worked in publishing and a talent manager before joining Mediawan’s Scarlett Production, where she worked on Rebecca Zlotowski’s series Les Sauvages. She produced feature film Comme des Reines, which was directed by Marion Vernoux for France 2 in 2021 and won prizes at the Luchon Festival and the Prix Europa. She co-produced documentary Banksy Most Wanted, which follows the hunt for the world-famous artist before joining Tetra in 2021.

Four-parter L’Intruse comes from creator Nathalie Abdelnour and was written by Nathalie Saugeon. Shirley Monsarrat is the director. Gabrié also co-produced Laura with Emmanuel Daucé for France 2. The mini-series, created by Frederic Krivine and Marie Kremer, is directed by Akim Isker and will film in March 2025.

ITV Studios, which is holding its London TV Screenings event at the Odeon in Leicester Square today, acquired Tetra in 2017.

The company made several sales and production announcements this morning at a press breakfast attended by execs from across the ITV Studios business.
