Ivan Toney left Brentford fans delighted after stealing a cheeky advantage for his comeback goal.
The striker was making his first appearance in eight months after coming back from a ban for betting offences when he led out the Bees in the Premier League against Nottingham Forest.
A replay on Sky Sports showed Toney shifting the ball to the right when no one was lookingCredit: X: @SkySportsPLBut not to be deterred by the enormity of the occasion, Toney took just 19 minutes to ensure that the night was remembered for all of the right reasons.
Standing over a free-kick 20 yard from goal, Toney managed to bend the ball around the Forest wall and into the bottom corner of Matt Turner's net.
But as well as the clear technical ability needed to score such a goal, eagle-eyed fans spotted a sneaky move that gave Toney a slight advantage.
As Forest midfielder Ryan Yates argued with Turner in goal after the wall was set, the striker rolled the ball a few inches to the right when nobody was looking to give him a more favourable angle for the kick.
He was even seen using some of the foam surrounding the ball where it was initially placed to its new position.
While the movement of the ball was minimal, it may well have made the difference as Toney squeezed the ball around the wall and into the net to make it 1-1 after Danilo's opener.
As you’d expect, Brentford fans loved what Toney did.
One supporter said: “Sneaky!”
Another added: “Lol Toney moves the ball a foot or so to the right just before the FK and no one in the forest wall notices/adjusts, lovely stuff.”
Meanwhile a third fan commented: “You move the ball to the right the wall goes to the right as well it’s not rocket science.”

Ben Mee then put Brentford 2-1 up just before the hour-mark, before Chris Wood equalised shortly later.
However Neal Maupay then restored the Bees' lead in a crazy few minutes.
