Ivanka Trump wore a custom Oscar de la Renta dress for pre-inauguration festivities Sunday, leading liberal social media users to call for a boycott of the designer.
After Oscar de la Renta’s official Instagram account shared two photos of Trump, 43, wearing an “off-shoulder crystal and pearl floral-embroidered empire waist gown with [a] silver stole,” some followers begged the luxury brand to “please stop.”
One commenter wrote, “Oh ok so we’re done with odlr,” abbreviating the designer’s name, while another said “boot licking is never in season.”

Many social media users commented that they were unfollowing the brand, with one quipping, “Fascism — but make it Fashion.”
Others, however, praised the “flawless” ensemble, including Jeff Bezos’ fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, who called it “beyond magic.”

Earlier Sunday, Trump stepped out with her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three kids — Arabella, 13, Joseph, 11, and Theodore, 8 — to honor veterans at an Arlington National Cemetery wreath-laying ceremony in more pieces from the brand.
For that outing, she rocked a camel cashmere coat with orchid appliqués, a coordinating dress and boots.
