Winner of CAN 2024, Ivory Coast has achieved a feat not seen in 18 years.

Ivory Coast once again had to work hard to win the third African Cup of Nations on Sunday.

Led by Nigeria, the Elephants finally overthrew their opponent to win 2-1 and do as well as their predecessors in 1992 and 2015.

And Ivory Coast has put an end to an astonishing drought since for the first time since Egypt in 2006, the host country lifts the trophy. However, it is the 12e times in 34 editions that the organizing country has won the CAN.
