Jacob Elordi in 'Euphoria' Eddy Chen / HBO
Jacob Elordi is hoping the third season of Euphoria starts filming soon and recently joked about why.
While making an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon ahead of hosting Saturday Night Live, the actor that plays troubled jock Nate Jacobs explained why he wanted to get back into the role.
“I hope it’s soon, or they’re going to have to Benjamin Button me or something,” he joked. “I’m going to have a bad back walking down the hallway, you know?”
HBO confirmed that the Sam Levinson high school drama is not coming back until 2025. The second season last aired between January and February 2022. With such a long gap between seasons, there are rumors that the third season will feature a time jump.
“I’m assuming that we’ll have to go forward. Otherwise, it’s going to seem like a weird bit,” Elordi added.

The NBC late-night host asked Elordi if he knew of any celebrity fans of the series, and he recalled an anecdote with Leonardo DiCaprio.
“We’re in this club and there’s really loud music and everything and he’s like, ‘That shot in the first season…’” Elordi said. “It’s him and I in the middle of this club just talking about camera angles.”
Elordi has kept busy amid the Euphoria hiatus, starring in Priscilla as Elvis Presley and playing Felix Catton in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn.
