WrestleMania could be Jade Cargill‘s superhero origin story.

The former TBS Champion left AEW last year. She promptly joined the WWE, making her debut in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Cargill has officially joined SmackDown, and she is now set to make her WrestleMania debut, as she will team with Naomi and Bianca Belair against Damage CTRL.

Jade Cargill spoke with Denise Salcedo before her WrestleMania match. The former TBS Champion compared to X-Men superhero Storm, and wants the fans to see her as a superhero too.

“I want people to see like I’m my own superhero,” Cargill said. “Like, I’m out here fighting crime, beating the bad guys up. I want everyone to see that’s why I am my own superhero. I love Storm, I love her presence. She’s a strong woman, she controls the weather around her and I feel like I do that as well. I get the crowd to stand up when I want them to stand up, I get them to sit down when I want them to sit down. I control the elements around me and my I’m my own superhero.”

What are you most looking forward to in regards to your WrestleMania match? Is it the in-ring action, the crowd? You know, ’cause I react off the crowd like I’m really excited. Again, this is my first WrestleMania that I’ve ever been to that I’m participating in, so I want to feel that electric. This is the biggest stage in wrestling, so I want to feel that electrifying feeling that everybody talks about when you’re in a WrestleMania match.”
