He may have missed half a season of football, but things are now looking bright for Jadon Sancho.
The England winger had a 2023 from hell after his public falling out with Erik ten Hag, but he’s back smiling in Germany.

Joining for the remainder of the campaign, Sancho arrived back at BVB, the team where he made his name with an astonishing spell from 2017 to 2021.
Featuring in all three of the Bundesliga side’s matches since his return, Dortmund and Sancho have a record of three wins from three, and he has an assist to his name.
Taking glee in his 100 per cent record, the 23-year-old took to social media and wrote: “Thank you @BVB for the warm welcome back! 3/3.”

Sancho was a substitute in his first game back against Darmstadt where he registered an assist, and he’s since starting the team’s two following games.
Even with his star return, Sancho might be a little miffed to see a different Premier League arrival take the limelight.
Joining the winger in making a loan move over from England has been Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen, and the Dutchman has been key to a 2024 revival in a new system at left back.
“You can lose balls, but not your game,” coach Edin Terzic said of the 21-year-old after a statement 4-0 win over Cologne.

“He is really keen to win games. He has self-confidence and enthusiasm that is good for us. We know about his ball-keeping ability and technical skills in narrow spaces, so we often pulled him into the centre to help the build-up."

Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel added: "Ian does an outstanding job. He always wants to have the ball.
“He does it very cleverly, including how he positions himself. He always finds the right solutions with the ball.”
