James Van Der Beek steps out for the premiere of his new movie Sidelined: The QB & Me held at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills on Thursday evening (November 14) in Los Angeles. The 47-year-old actor joined co-star Noah Beck at the event, who plays his son in the upcoming Tubi movie. This marks James‘ first public appearance since he revealed he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer earlier this month. Also in attendance at the premiere were co-stars Siena Agudong, Drew Ray Tanner and Deborah Cox, director Justin Wu and author Tay Marley, who penned the Wattpad novel the movie is based on. Here’s a synopsis: Dallas Bryan (Agudong) is a high school cheerleader impassioned by the art of dance who hopes to use it as a means of escaping her sleepy small town. Bryan has her sights on a coveted dance scholarship at CalArts, and nothing—or no one—is going to stand in her way. That is… until the star high school quarterback, Drayton Lahey (Beck), crashes into her life. Sidelined: The QB & Me will premiere Friday, November 29th on Tubi. Check out the trailer here!
