Jarrad Branthwaite will be well aware that he is garnering interest from a host of top clubs following his stalwart performances for Everton this season.
The Carlisle-born talent looks to be a complete, finished product of a centre-half already despite being just 21 years old.
He has played a vital role at the heart of Sean Dyche’s backline this term as the Toffees have had to bounce back from a points deduction while staying afloat in the relegation battle.
As well as that, Branthwaite was awarded his first-ever senior England call-up prior to the international break in March. While he didn’t make his debut over the two fixtures, there are shouts for him to make the Three Lions’ Euro 2024 squad.
Should Everton fail in their quest for survival, outgoings may need to be sanctioned in order to avoid any further Financial Fair Play breaches. Branthwaite is undoubtedly one of their most prized assets, but he’s also one of their most sellable.
That’s where the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Real Madrid come in. All four clubs are believed to have shortlisted the player ahead of the summer window, and a bidding war may be ignited if the Toffees are willing to play ball.
Branthwaite uninterested in Magpies move
As per FootballTransfers, it’s ‘unlikely’ that Branthwaite would opt for St. James’ Park given the calibre of the other interested sides.
Both Manchester outfits could too struggle in their pursuit when coming head-to-head with the 14-time European champions Madrid; that could prove to be a prospect that the emerging talent can’t pass up on.
