Javier Bernal is recovering from surgery.
NXT’s Javier Bernal previously announced that he suffered a broken foot at the NXT Level Up taping on June 4. He noted that he would be out for six months if he had surgery.
In a series of tweets on June 21, Javier Bernal confirmed that he had successful surgery. He wrote that he was thankful for WWE and the medical team for taking care of him and setting him up with doctors. Bernal also expressed his gratitude to his doctors, Dr. Waldrop and his staff in Birmingham, Alabama.
Bernal wrote that it was his first-ever surgery, so he was nervous, but he had nothing but support from everyone in WWE. He also said that he was thankful for Tatum Paxley’s support. Bernal stated that he had the next few months cut out for him, and he was scared, but this was his resolve for six months. He vowed to come out on the other side stronger than before.
