Javier Tebas’ charge against CSD and Barça

There is no shortage of reactions the day after the decision of the Spanish Sports Council (CSD) to agree with FC Barcelona in the Dani Olmo and Pau Victor cases. Despite the no from the Federation and La Liga last weekend, the jurisdiction took the opposite view by validating the registrations of the two players for the second part of the season. Anger is growing among other Spanish clubs, who see it as a fraud on the regulations put in place and which everyone must respect. Las Palmas, for example, fired a first salvo a little earlier in the day. Also very upset, Javier Tebas was not kind to the CSD. The truculent president of La Liga also believes that this procedure is not serious given the timing.

He particularly deplores the process, “with an unusual speed which gives no place to La Liga or the Federation. This decision demonstrates a profound lack of knowledge about how advance visas and quasi-final licenses are managed. Are there no prior agreements in these institutions?», he questions before continuing. “The CSD does not at any time mention the articles of the RFEF regulations which prevent the granting of licenses to players, which is the key to the problem and not economic control“. He wonders in passing if he was acting “of an intentional forgetting. It is obvious that with this precautionary measure, the CSD contradicts what is said in the articles of the Sports Law, where the economic control of La Liga is praised. (…) The CSD calls all of this into question, once again demonstrating a lack of knowledge of the effects“.
