Jay-Z is pursuing a lawsuit against the lawyer responsible for the assault lawsuit that was filed against him in December 2024. If you were unaware, the 55-year-old rapper was accused of sexually assaulting a minor alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2000. The lawsuit was dismissed in February. In new court moves, Jay is taking legal action against Tony Buzbee, who filed the original lawsuit. Keep reading to find out more… There was a hearing on Tuesday (February 25) where a judge seemingly signaled that a defamation suit could proceed against Tony. Jay was also pursuing a potential extortion case, which will seemingly not be picked up. “The conduct alleged raises serious questions about whether Buzbee acted with actual malice, a key component in defamation cases involving public figures,” the judge ruled, noting that Tony had engaged with social media content that implied Jay was the celebrity involved in the lawsuit.
