JD McDonagh is excited about his long-awaited return to OTT Wrestling next month.
At ScrapperMania VIII, a video package announced the return of two Irish talents to the promotion. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, as the Judgement Day, were announced for OTT’s Tenth Anniversary Show on October 26 at the National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
JD McDonagh hasn’t wrestled for OTT since a one-off dark match back in 2022. However, he was the company’s first ever champion, and is a huge name in Irish wrestling circles. That is not to mention Finn Balor, who is arguably Ireland’s best wrestler for his work in NJPW and WWE.
JD McDonagh recently spoke with Irish Wrestling & Entertainment about his upcoming appearance at OTT’s Tenth Anniversary Show.
He admitted that it is “beyond belief”, calling him and Balor’s return “unbelievable”. He also credited OTT’s Joe Cabray for building up the company to the point where WWE want to partner with them to facilitate this return.
“Man, it’s absolutely beyond belief. It’s huge.” JD McDonagh admitted. “The next couple of months are something that 14-year-old me couldn’t have written any better. Returning to the homeland with Finn for OTT—it’s absolutely unbelievable. And listen, that’s a testament to Joe Cabray and the OTT crew for building up the product to the point where it’s even a possibility, you know? So yeah, looking forward to coming back and rocking the National Stadium one more time.”
