WWE NXT star Je’Von Evans wants to make a name for himself while he’s young, like Tupac.

Je’Von Evans has become a breakout star in NXT. At just 20 years old, Evans competed in the main event of NXT Heatwave. There he challenged for the NXT Championship in a four-way match.

Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Je’Von Evans was asked why he calls himself the Tupac of this generation.

“He was a famous hip-hop artist, but he was known to be one of the greatest artists ever. He did what he did at a young age,” Je’Von Evans said. “[Tupac] was grinding, he was doing what he had to do, he made a name for himself at a young age. That’s what I wanna do. I wanna, by the time I turn 25, I really want to be known as that guy, somebody who’s grinding to get here, and just to be that top dog.

“Tupac did the same thing before he passed away. He made that name for himself. He did what he had to do, and that’s what I’m gonna do.”
