Jeff Cobb dethroned Zack Sabre Jr. to become the new NJPW World TV Champion at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2024.
After quite the rivalry between the two men over the past year, Jeff Cobb stood tall at the end of the night as he held the NJPW World TV Championship high above his head. He executed his patented Tour of the Islands maneuver and secured the pinfall victory over Sabre Jr. with merely seconds before the 15-minute time limit expired.
With this victory, Cobb becomes only the fifth champion in the title’s lineage since its inception in 2023. This is also his first taste of singles gold in New Japan Pro-Wrestling since his last reign as NEVER Openweight Champion in 2019.
