Jeff Hardy revealed why he paid tribute to Bray Wyatt with his face paint.

On the recent episode of TNA Impact, he paid tribute to the late wrestler with a Fiend-inspired facepaint design.

Matt and Jeff Hardy appeared on the Battleground Podcast, where they asked Jeff about his Fiend-inspired face paint from last week.

The former WWE Champion revealed he had some interactions with Bray Wyatt in the past. However, he wished he had got the chance to work with him more.

Jeff Hardy added that he just began painting his face, and eventually, it began to look like the Fiend, so he just went with it.

“Oh man, I never got to know him as well as Matt did. The one match they did on the compound, I had one little interaction with him there at the very end. But that’s it. I wish I would have gotten to work with him more.” Jeff Hardy said.

“There was one time we were talking on a bus, on a tour or something. He mentioned something about maybe bringing Willow into the picture. He remembered, you know, my old alter ego from TNA. I got so excited, man.”

“As far as the Fiend face paint goes—I’ve been painting my face all these years, and I had never painted teeth on my lips until recently. I started trying to do it with a skull, but I didn’t really like how it turned out. Then I started messing around with a big mouth on my lips, and I was like, ‘Whoa, this might work!’ Naturally, that big mouth… looking at what I had just painted, I thought, ‘Whoa, I think I could do a version of the Fiend mask on my face.’ I’m just so glad I went for it. It turned out so, so great. I was really proud of that.”
