Jeff Jarrett thinks AEW is poised for some big things in the near future.
The company recently began streaming live on HBO Max, a huge milestone for the company. As they prepare for their first show in Australia with AEW Grand Slam, Jeff Jarrett can only admit the growth the company has made.
Jeff Jarrett recently spoke with the Battleground Podcast. He talked about how far AEW has come in five years and the incredible diversity on their roster.
He noted that “content is King”. The former TNA World Champion added that AEW has one of the best rosters in the world, which is poised for growth.
Jeff Jarrett On AEW’s Roster
“It’s been a little over five years, but here’s the thing that I think often gets lost in the shuffle because it’s rarely been done: look at the diversity of our roster. We have American and Canadian stars, but also talent from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mexico, all through Europe, and India.
“The diversity of our roster positions us—not just international growth, but growth in general. At the end of the day, content is king. And when I say content is king, that’s the name of the game—streaming, digital, social media. To create content, you’ve got to have talent, and AEW is poised, with the depth of our roster, to do things in this industry that have never been done before.
“The growing pains any company goes through, well, everything AEW has done has been loud—for better or worse. But at the end of the day, we’re out here creating content. Entering the streaming world with Max? That’s a really, really big deal. The world we live in can be hyper-focused on the slightest snafu, and it is what it is. But I learned from my grandmother that as long as they’re talking—whether it’s criticism, good or bad—it’s a positive.”
