Jeff Jarrett is excited for 2025.

At AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, Jeff Jarrett announced that he had signed his last contract as a talent, as he agreed to a new deal with AEW. He also made it clear that he was coming for the world title.

Speaking on his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett discussed re-signing with AEW.

“I am very grateful,” he said. “Me and you both know, prior to the pandemic, conversations going on about the pod and all that stuff, going back to the first Starrcast, I didn’t have wrestling on my bingo card. But all the conversations that have taken place, not just between me and my family, but [also] my wrestling family, but then I have had a lot of conversations with I’ll call them wrestling luminaries and legends, people that I really respect, both inside of AEW and outside, about, ‘Man, what should my next steps really be?’ I threw it out there, do I keep going? Do I hang it up? Do I head strictly 100% down the business path, and it kind of was a collective deal. Because my first gut was, okay, I’m gonna re-sign [for] wrestling. Let’s will something into existence. I told Jay [Lethal], let’s go after tag team gold, and he was like, Satnam [Singh] is the true one-in-a-billion here. Let’s kind of look at trios gold.”

“So we had that conversation as well. There were a couple of individual conversations I had, and they went back to…and that’s what the promo was really based on, high risk, high reward. When I kind of looked at that, so many memories came back through my mind. [My dad] always said, son, if you’re gonna climb a tree, don’t get under the tree and figure out how you can climb up to the first branch, then the second branch, the third branch. Get back way away from the tree and figure out how you can climb to the very top. At the very least, you’re probably gonna get at least halfway up there.”

Jeff Jarrett Is Going All In

Jarett continued by noting that others encouraged him to go for it, and that’s exactly what he decided to do. He stated that he was really excited for 2025.

“Using that analogy and kind of thinking it though, I’m gonna lean into Jay on this,” Jarrett said. “Jay, among others, there’s a former world champion who told me, ‘Are you kidding me? Go out swinging. You don’t have any aspirations of having some year, six months, three month run. Just go for it all. Give it a shot.’ So when I kind of looked at that and the contract negotiations kind of got finalized, I said okay, the whole premise of the promo was, I’m going for the world title.

“All the contract stuff came in, and it felt like there was as much buzz about the contract stuff as opposed to going for the world title. Either I’m gonna die trying, or I’m going for it all. I am really excited. I really am excited for 2025.”
