Jenna Ushkowitz is going to be a mom again! On Friday (June 28), the 38-year-old Glee alum and And That’s What You REALLY Missed podcast host announced that she and husband David Stanley are expecting their second child together. The two are already parents to 2-year-old daughter Emma. In a new interview, Jenna looked back at finding out that she was pregnant, admitting that she didn’t believe it was real at first. Keep reading to find out more…“I was actually on vacation in New York visiting my family at the time,” Jenna shared with People. “And when I was packing, I had a Clear Blue Early Digital Pregnancy Test in my closet and I was like, ‘Let me just pack it just in case.’” “So I packed it and the day before we left the trip, I was like, ‘Something feels very familiar about this feeling and let me just take this test.’ I did. And when pregnant came up, my jaw dropped,” Jenna recalled. “I was shocked. And then overjoyed, of course.” As for when it was time to tell her husband, Jenna said she “didn’t have anything to say.” “He was upstairs, and so he came down the stairs, I still had a look of shock on my face and he was like, ‘No way,’” Jenna said. “He just knew and he was just so, so happy. We were so excited for our daughter to be a big sister and to expand our family. It’s just really, really special.” While the couple’s daughter Emma “understands that there’s a baby in mommy’s belly,” Jenna said that her daughter hasn’t fully grasped the situation yet. “She says, ‘I’m a big girl. I’m a big sister.’ And she understands baby,” Jenna said. “So to an extent, she knows what’s going on. She’ll figure it out real soon.” Jenna also said that during this pregnancy, she’s feeling “more relaxed” and “more confident.” “I think the biggest lesson I learned with having my daughter was you really have to go with the flow,” Jenna shared. “And so I’m just going to listen to that, release the control, and kind of just go with where the tide takes you.” As for what she’s looking forward to when baby No. 2 arrives, Jenna said, “Newborn snuggles are the best, but I’m really just looking forward to seeing my daughter become a big sister and just feeling like our family is whole.
