Jeremy Allen White Thanks ‘The Bear’ Co-Creators For Helping Set A Fire Inside Him That Helped Him Win The Emmy For Best Actor In A Comedy Series

Having already won two Golden Globes and A SAG award for his performance in The Bear, Jeremy Allen White finally earned his Emmy recognition Monday night and went on to say how the script from the shows creators reinvigorated him to give the performance he gave.

“I’m so proud and full of gratitude, I love this show much, it filled me up, it gave me a passion and set a fire in me to match the beautiful work done by Christopher Storer and Joanna Calo, thank you thank you as well as the beautiful cast and beautiful crew that I get to share a set with, thank you,” White said.

White went on to also thank his parents as well as all of the people that stuck by him over the past year and for believing in him when he had trouble.

White beat out Bill Hader (Barry), Jason Siegel (Shrinking), Jason Sudekis (Ted Lasso) and Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building) for the Emmy. Last week, White took home the Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy for his season two performance on the show. This was the shows third of the night with Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach also winning earlier in the night.

Even though the show premiered in 2021 and already earned several accolades, this was the first time the Emmys have been able to properly honor the show since it first premiered after Emmy nomination deadlines. The recent WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes caused even further delays as this years show moved from its usual September air date to January
