A big fan of Rohff in the 2000s, Jérémy Ménez had visited the rapper during a studio session. Except that his behavior towards the rapper was not really appropriate…
Although he was born in Longjumeau, in Essonne, Jérémy Ménez grew up in Vitry-sur-Seine. It is in this city of Val-de-Marne that Rohff also spent a good part of his life. At one time, the footballer turned sports consultant was even a fan of the rapper.
The former attacking midfielder is said to have behaved a little too familiarly with the artist. “Jérémy Ménez doesn’t respect himself. One day, I was in the studio listening to sounds and writing and he arrived even though I had told the guy who brought him not to come with him. I received him well but there are some lapses that I don’t accept. He arrives, he’s drunk, he acts like a pseudo caillera (scum, editor’s note) and he puts his head on my shoulder even though I don’t know him.”Rohff lamented during an interview given to 10Sport in 2013.
Jérémy Ménez put back in his place by Rohff
The former leader of the Mafia k’1 Fry did not appreciate Ménez’s attitude at all. “For me, an athlete remains an athlete, he is not a thug, he is not a bad boy.he insists. His legs are sure, he grew up in a training center, he is not from the street school. He is not a street guy and he will never be. He earns a very good living, that’s fine. Let him not try to wear a suit that is too big for him.
Jérémy Ménez is not the only high-level footballer that Rohff has come across during his career. At one time, he was close to Karim Benzema. The two men even escaped a tragedy in December 2009.
