WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura was in attendance at WWE RAW.

In a tweet, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H shared a clip in which he greeted Jesse Ventura at the show. He wrote, “Welcome home, Jesse Ventura. Honored to have one of the all-time greats back to WWE RAW tonight.”

WWE RAW was held at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 29. Ventura is a Minnesota native. He is a former Governor of Minnesota.

Ventura previously had a memorable WWE career before he transitioned into politics. He was elected Governor in November 1998. Ventura returned to WWE in 1999, as he was the special referee at SummerSlam. There, Mankind faced Steve Austin and Triple H for the WWF Championship. Ventura made a few appearances over the years and was elected into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. He later appeared on WWE RAW in 2009. He has been absent from the company in recent years.

Jesse Ventura recently said that he was in talks for a Legends Deal with WWE. He discussed the news with Frank Morano of WABC 77 Radio. (H/t Joseph Currier of F4WOnline.com for the transcription)

“I’m back negotiating with them. We’re in talks right now. In fact, I have contracts with my attorney right now with the WWE. And I can only say that that’s happened because of the change of direction in the company. We don’t know right now fully [what his role would be]. They want to bring me back under their Legends. You know, I’m an old guy now and you’ve got to have the legends.”

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
