Jessika Carr made history at WWE Backlash France.

At WWE Backlash France, Jessika Carr refereed the main event match, where Cody Rhodes defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles. In doing so, she became the first female official to ever referee a WWE Championship main event match at a WWE premium live event.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H took to Twitter to comment on the news. He wrote that Jessika Carr had been smashing through glass ceilings since she joined WWE.

Jessika Carr then replied, saying that there were no words to express her pride, appreciation, and gratitude. She wrote that being trusted with something of this magnitude was so special. Carr thanked Triple H and said she wanted to continue to grow, improve, and crush more glass ceilings.

There are no words to express my pride, appreciation, and gratitude.

To be trusted with something of this magnitude is so special.

Thank you and I want to continue to grow, improve, and crush more glass ceilings. https://t.co/Fk7B0IX3r7
