Jey Uso has emerged as one of the most popular WWE superstars and a prime fixture for the company’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW. Uso experienced incredible success upon his split from The Bloodline last year and eventually move to RAW with WWE even urged to put the rocket on him.
During a recent interview on the Busted Open Radio, The Main Event star revealed that he had always envisioned himself and his brother, Jimmy Uso to be the best tag team in WWE. Moreover, a run as a singles competitor was something he had never thought and believed that Bloodline was where he belonged.
However, Jey Uso stated that he has been feeling positive regarding his ongoing singles run with his confidence going up each week.
“I always thought I would just lean on my brother. Always thought we would just be the best tag team. I never had visions of splitting. I never ever thought my career would elevate, I thought Bloodline was where it was. And now, I just morphed into my own character. And like I said, it’s all working … I’m on there every week and my confidence goes up every week. I’m hitting house shows, we’re hitting all the tours. So I’m getting my reps in for sure.”
Furthemore, Jey made an honest confession that he would like to continue his run as a singles competitor, ruling out return to tag team wrestling with Jimmy Uso at the moment.
“If I could be honest right now, I would like to continue on my singles path right now. Me and my brother, we already the best tag team in WWE in history right now. That’s checked off.”
Moreover, Jey’s father, Rikishi has been observing his son thrive as a singles star and even rallied lot of support for him to get significant opportunities. With Jey Uso continuing to focus on his solo run at the moment, we will have to wait and see if it culminates into a major title win for Jey Uso.
