At WrestleMania 40 on Saturday, WWE witnessed a match featuring real-life brothers for the third time in its history. Jey Uso faced his brother on the grand stage and emerged victorious. Despite the historic nature of the bout, fans expressed dissatisfaction with the match. In light of this, Jey Uso has now revealed the reason for the match being a disappointment.

At WWE WrestleMania 40 Saturday, Jimmy and Jey Uso faced off in a singles match. Leading up to the match, their father Rikishi hinted that he might get involved, as he mentioned he would be in Philadelphia during WrestleMania weekend. Despite the speculation, the match concluded without Rikishi making an appearance, and Jey Uso emerged victorious over his brother Jimmy. The match was also heavily criticized by fans and critics alike.

In a recent interview with Gorilla Position, Main Event Jey Uso shared his thoughts on his match with his brother at WrestleMania. He expressed a sense of disappointment, feeling that they may have let the fans down due to unexpected changes in their plans because of time constraints.

“I just said this to someone. I kinda felt like we did let the people down. [Really, you feel that?] Yeah, man, cuz I wanted to go out there and have a straight up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part but let alone make sure the emotion part is there. It was just a time issue. You know what I’m saying? You just gotta play your position on the team. That’s what happened. I’m still happy though, uce, I got a singles match at WrestleMania with my brother. That’s a big picture. So, I’mma always have me and him in a face-off at WrestleMania. I’mma frame a picture, that’s always, it’s marked off our box. I just wish we could have went the way I know we can, but…

Jey Uso clarified that the reduced match time was a last-minute decision, caused by other fights running longer than anticipated. When asked if such changes often happen on the night of the event, he admitted that the match did face some time constraints.

“[Is that something that happens on the night? Like, do you find out just before your time is cut?] Oh, yeah. ‘Yo, yo, man, they went over this many minutes. Sorry, sorry, You know, it’s all good, you know. Just go out there and handle business.”

While Jey Uso is set to challenge Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Jimmy Uso got kicked out of The Bloodline on Friday Night SmackDown earlier this month. We will have to wait and see whether the brothers will end up reuniting somewhere down the line.
