Jim Cornette is well known for his outspoken views and has caused a stir with his comments about the industry over the years. He particularly made headlines by taking strong jabs at both Donald Trump and Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan is a massive supporter of Donald Trump and this goes back several years. That is why it was no surprise he made an appearance at the Republican National Convention.
During his appearance at the Republican National Convention, the WWE Hall of Famer called Donald Trump his hero and dubbed his campaign as ‘Trumpamania,’ making it clear he is fully behind Trump.
While speaking on his podcast the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette was asked about his thoughts on Hulk Hogan appearing at the Republican National Convention. Cornette stated that while making fun of Hulk Hogan’s exaggerated lies has been a long-standing practice, it’s become a different story with the current political climate. Cornette pointed out that Hogan’s fabrications are easily disproven and can be verified through various sources, but they continue to be a source of amusement.
“We go back to this, and you know, we have made fun of Hulk Hogan and rightfully so for the big giant whopping lies that he tells every time he’s in front of three people or more. It’s funny because it’s easily disprovable stuff that you can look up in any number of sources. It’s verifiable things that he’s just pulling out of his ass and lying about, and you can easily take it apart if you have any time or inclination to do so. And it’s funny because it’s Hulk Hogan. But now, I mean, I’ve heard of the Friars Club, but they’ve started the Liars Club—liars, thieves, and criminals. They are grifters, and they all got together, and Hulk Hogan was invited to speak at one of our country’s national political conventions because they are the party of these stupid, gullible, dulled suckers that are perfect for Hulk Hogan’s bullshit. They don’t laugh at him anymore, and they ate it up, brother.
Cornette noted that Hogan was invited to speak at a national political convention because he appeals to a particular group of gullible supporters. Cornette compared this to the ’80s wrestling scene, which was initially seen as over-the-top but effective for the general audience. He also mentioned the close ties between Vince McMahon, Donald Trump, and Dana White, with White being particularly trying to gain Trump’s favor.
”The wrestling business, we’ve been listening to it for 40 years, and honestly, in the ’80s, it was for kids and the real marks—the Vince and Hulk opinion of what a pro wrestling superstar should be—which is why, in many of the territories, they got laughed out for a while because it was so over-the-top. But it worked for the general populace, and now you’ve got—I mean, we know that Vince and Trump are bosom buddies, and Dana White is swinging off the mango melon’s tiny mushroom-headed p**** just every chance he gets. He’s got his lips locked around the man, and now Hulk Hogan wants to get in on it.”
Cornette stated that Donald Trump is a bigger liar than Hulk Hogan. He criticized the situation by saying that while Hogan’s lies about his wrestling career can be laughed off, the lies of Trump, who is being positioned for a return to the White House, are much more dangerous and far-reaching.
”The only person who tells more lies than Hulk Hogan does is the pig-faced piece of s*** they are trying to reinstall in the White House. But he’s not funny. It’s not funny because Hulk Hogan’s lying about being a bassist for Metallica or slamming a 700-pound giant. You can laugh because it’s b******, but it’s not important b******. But you cannot laugh at Trump’s bullshit because it is Earth-endangering b******.”
Jim Cornette was also ashamed of former WWE star for supporting Donald Trump. Regardless, Cornette is entitled to his opinion and will speak his mind no matter what and that will never change.
